The Cameleers are the backbone of the French Foreign Legion.

One of the infamous Dr Meringue's more succesful genetic experiments, they were originally created to survive in the North African deserts with only a minimum of water and rations.
The success of the Cameleers has led tot hem being used extensively all over Europe, allowing Frenchmen to stay home and indulge in more civilized and gastronomic pasttimes.

"No longer must ze army march on le stomach," announced General Eiffel. "Now it marches on le hump."
